The IBTA is proud to be part of the Rare Cancers Europe (RCE) initiative calling for new methodologies to be applied to clinical studies involving rare cancers, including brain tumours. A consensus paper has been published in the Annals of Oncology and is accessible (free of charge) here, while an accompanying press release has been reported here.  On 4 October 2014, IBTA chair Kathy Oliver (pictured above, far left) and other members of RCE met with representatives of the European Medicines Agency (EMA) in London to discuss the new initiatives. Details of the meeting can be found here.
