[14 June 2018] The 2018 / 2019 World Edition of the IBTA’s Brain Tumour magazine has been published and is now available for viewing online on our website. Now in its ninth year, Brain Tumour is a unique publication that reaches deep into the international brain tumour community to deliver an exclusive selection of inspiring and thought-provoking articles. Distributed free of charge, 14,000 print copies are sent to recipients in 111 countries and the magazine is made widely available at international neuro-oncology and cancer conferences.
This edition of Brain Tumour contains feature articles, news items, interviews with eminent medical experts, and stories from patients, caregivers and patient advocacy organisations, with practical tips on running advocacy events. This issue also contains extensive excerpts from the Report of the IBTA's Third Biennial World Summit of Brain Tumour Patient Advocates, and the inaugural Sub-Saharan Africa Neuro-Oncology Collaborative (S-SANOC) Planning Meeting, both held last year in London, UK. The issue also features our directory of country-specific brain tumour patient and caregiver charities and not-for-profit organisations.
We would like to warmly thank all the contributors to the magazine and hope that our readers find this issue informative, engaging and inspiring.
The IBTA is a global network founded in 2005 as a dynamic worldwide community for brain tumour patient organisations and others involved in the field of neuro-oncology. We are dedicated to supporting, encouraging and developing collaboration between all stakeholders on the brain tumour journey.
